Prevention Begins in the Womb: Impact of Childhood Diet on the Development of Cardiovascular Disease
Although chronic cardiovascular disease is not typically experienced until adulthood, the habits and behaviors that we begin in childhood and continue through adulthood set us up for metabolic conditions which predispose us to chronic disease. In this lecture, Dr. Yami will review how diet beginning in childhood can both predispose or prevent cardiac disease and will present a simple approach to nutrition that you can begin to share with your littlest patients and their families right away.
