#154: From Skepticism to Passion: the CPR Health Clinic Story

“Our goal is to never abandon someone in the process of change.” -Dr. Sagar Doshi, CPR Health Clinic

Dr. Sagar Doshi was introduced to lectures on plant-based nutrition several times before he was able to overcome his cognitive dissonance and consider the life-altering effects of diet. Unfortunately, after losing his father to chronic disease and a dramatic encounter in the ER, he began to search for more. Not only did he change his mind, but he opened up a plant-based lifestyle medicine practice with his wife and two friends!

In this episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, I chat with Dr. Sagar Doshi and his wife Dr. Jimisha Patel about their journey to plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine.

We discuss:

  • How they discovered plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine

  • Applying plant-based nutrition to pediatrics

  • What the CPR clinic is and how it came about

  • How they are raising their children

  • What Dr. Sagar’s favorite condition is to treat and and patient case that really stands out

  • What lifestyle medicine concept they think all doctors should utilize

  • What they wish more people knew

  • What personal habit they are most proud of and why
